Finding the Light

Navigating today

The war between Israel and Hamas looms large, and the loss of a good friend this week has made it difficult to see the light today. But I know this is life: Life and death, peace and war are all part of the reality we, in our current form must bear. It is not enough to merely tolerate these facts. We would do well to accept them. What is the point of standing on the bank of the south flowing river and asking it to flow north? Even if we wish it so. The trick is not to lose the light in our souls. To keep the hope of a better world, a conscious and just world. To change the things that we can. To show empathy and kindness to all. Look for the beauty and you will find it. Seek solutions and they will come, for the gift of divine innovation is unique to humanity.
